My professional journey began in 1998 in Canada's banking and call-center industry, where I worked on large-scale business process outsourcing projects focused on debt collections for major financial institutions. Those early years shaped my understanding of professionalism, compliance, client communication, and operational discipline—standards that still guide my work today.

I later transitioned into branch-level banking as a Small Business Banking Advisor, where I spent several years working directly with entrepreneurs to analyze their financial goals and deliver practical banking and lending solutions. During this time, I also obtained licenses in investments and insurance, allowing me to serve individuals, families, and small business owners across a broad range of financial needs.

Over the following decade, my career evolved into fully remote corporate roles within the banking sector—long before remote work became mainstream. I supported Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives through HR projects, led financial literacy and mentorship programs for international students pursuing careers in financial services, and specialized in lending solutions for the real estate industry. My work supported first-time buyers, families, business owners, developers, and real estate investors.

In 2016, I stepped away from the corporate world to build my own fully remote financial services business. For five years, I worked independently, delivering direct-to-consumer mortgage and insurance solutions while learning first-hand what it truly takes to build a sustainable, location-independent career.

In 2021, I entered the virtual assistant industry—first as a solo Virtual Assistant, then as a Virtual Assistant Agency Owner. What started as client support quickly evolved into agency leadership, team development, and ultimately the creation of Nomad's Academy.

Today, Nomad's Academy exists to close a critical gap in the virtual assistant industry: the lack of structured, credible, career-focused education. I've worked remotely as a lone contributor in corporate environments, as part of distributed teams, as a business owner, and as an agency founder coaching and supporting virtual professionals. That perspective allows me to teach not just how to get work—but how to build trust, longevity, and real career momentum in the virtual space.
